WIN TICKETS TO OUR BIRTHDAY PARTY!!

Big Vern n the Shootahs are 20 years old this year and to celebrate we are hosting an extra special gig in Glasgow City Centre on Saturday 7th November 2009. The band will play a full set in an intimate venue and we will have a full supporting act and DJ from 8 till late. Entry to our private gig and party is (whisper it) - free, and will be a special celebration of everything good about Big Vern n the Shootahs 1989-2009. We will try to invite our most loyal fans, family and friends to join us on the night. Do you want to come along? WHO WE ARE

Big Vern 'n' the Shootahs are a rockin' nine piece soul band from Glasgow, Scotland playing well known covers with the twist of a soul/funk vibe.

We don't take ourselves too seriously which certainly comes across in our live shows - we are not shy - some would say 'in-yer-face' - all accomplished musicians collectively having fun and gettin' on with it - we aim to please and don't miss and hit the wall - we strive to be live and love the vibe that an audience enjoying themselves throws back at us.......if you simply want a 'live jukebox' then you should really be looking elsewhere......but, if you are looking for a band to set your event on fire then......
Big Vern are your boys.

WHAT WE DO

BVATS have now been together for nearly 20 years and are still enjoying entertainiing audiences, be it at huge events like the World Cup celebrations at Glasgow Green, internationally attended functions at the likes of the Savoy Hotel in London, or even at small intimate gatherings.

We pride ourselves on bringing all the fun of the Big Vern 'circus' 100% to town, be it at our own advertised shows, corporate functions, weddings, car launches, open air festivals, local and national radio and TV events, or many other bespoke events which we have enjoyed being a part of all over the UK.
